TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

Eligibility: Entry is open to residents of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), and ROI aged 18+ except employees (and their immediate families) of Merlin Entertainments (“the Promotor”), Coca Cola and any other companies associated with the draw.
Promotional date: Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 14.07.22 and closes 23:59 on 30.09.2022. There is 1 headline prize and 3 runners up prizes in total to be won. The headline prize is a VIP trip to The SEA LIFE TRUST Cornish Seal Sanctuary for a family of 4 including overnight accommodation and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the sanctuary. The 3 runner up prizes consist of: Tickets to Chessington World of Adventures for a family of 4 including a VIP Gorilla encounter to learn about the conservation efforts in support of Chessington Conservation Fund (CCF); tickets to SEA LIFE Manchester for a family of 4 to have a VIP Turtle tour and feed; tickets to Bear Grylls Adventure for two people including a Shark Dive experience in support of the Shark Trust.

For the avoidance of doubt only one entry per person per unique email address will be accepted.

Winner Selection and notification: The draw winners will be drawn via a verifiable computerised system producing random results from valid entries submitted within 7 working days of the draw closing date and winners will be notified within 14 days of each draw via the email address given when entering. It is the responsibility of entrants to check junk/SPAM to ensure they are in receipt of any communications. The Promoter is not responsible for an entrant making a late claim on their prize if this email is missed or not read/ responded to for any reason.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners. If the winner does not confirm acceptance by responding to notification emails within 14 days of first notification, is ineligible or are unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Merlin Entertainments reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize.
Prize stays are subject to hotel availability and winners will be asked to supply three potential dates from the eligible date ranges for the resort stay.
The Prizes:
Headline Prize: VIP trip to The SEA LIFE TRUST Cornish Seal Sanctuary for a family of 4 including overnight accommodation and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the sanctuary. Prize includes Entrance for a family of 4 into the SEA LIFE Trust Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, Cornwall, Private VIP guided tour of the SEA LIFE Trust Cornish Seal Sanctuary and Overnight hotel accommodation in a family room close to the SEA LIFE Trust Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Prize is valid for a family of four, two adults over the age of 18 and two children under the age of 18. VIP tour will be private and not shared with other members of the public. Tour is subject to availability at the time of booking. Prize must be booked a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. Hotel will be a minimum 3 star and is based on two adults and two children sharing a family room with ensuite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis. Any incidental charges including but not limited to room service, phone calls, newspapers, turn down, laundry and mini bar will be at the winner’s own expense. For the avoidance of doubt, travel is not included and will be at the winner’s own expense. Prize must be taken within 12 months from the date of winning and is subject to availability at the time of booking. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative available.
Runner up prize 1: Tickets to Chessington World of Adventures for a family of 4 including a VIP Rhino encounter. Prize includes park day tickets for a family of four to Chessington World of Adventures Resort, including a Southern Rhino Encounter for a family of four in support of the Chessington Conservation Fund. Chessington World of Adventures opens from March to October each year. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian. Tickets are subject to availability at the time of booking. Prize must be booked a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. White Rhino Encounter experience is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Children aged between 10 – 16yrs must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian for the experience. Should the winner’s children be under the age of 10, an alternative experience of similar value will be offered. Experience will be private and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Due to the Nature of some of our experiences the encounter may not be suitable for non-ambulant adventures, please speak to the team directly prior to your booking. Photo identification is required for all guests aged 16+ (the VIP Experiences Team will contact you once you have made your booking to discuss further details) and is required for Health, Safety and Security reasons. Pregnant women are not permitted on any of our VIP Experiences. Free parking included. Chessington World of Adventures Resort reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities including closure of rides and/or attractions for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including overcapacity. Size, height, weight, age restrictions and medical warnings apply to certain rides and attractions. Prize must be taken within 12 months from the date of winning and is subject to availability at the time of booking. For the avoidance of doubt, travel is not included and will be at the winner’s own expense. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative available.
Runner up prize 2: Tickets to SEA LIFE Manchester for a family of 4 to have a VIP Turtle tour and feed. Prize includes Entrance for a family of four into SEA LIFE Manchester including a Private VIP Turtle feeding experience for four to include: Help feed giant green sea turtles Cammy and Ernie, A member of our animal care team will be on hand to assist you and teach you all about Cammy and Ernie, their individual stories, their diet and their habitats. Children must be 8 years or older for this experience. There is a maximum of 2 people at any one time so there will be a swap during the feeding to ensure all members of the party get to experience the turtles. Due to space restrictions at the top of our ocean tank, there are no additional spectator slots in the feeding area. Loose items are not allowed at the top of the ocean tank. This is a safety measure for our animals as well as your belongings. Due to the location of the feeding experience, you must be able to walk upstairs, there is no lift access to the top of our ocean tank. Guests must also be able to kneel down to feed the turtles. Should children be under 8 at the time of the experience, an alternative experience will be offered to a similar value. Prize must be booked a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. Prize must be taken by 31st December 2022 and is subject to availability at the time of booking. For the avoidance of doubt, travel is not included and will be at the winner’s own expense. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative available.
Runner up prize 3: Tickets to Bear Grylls Adventure for two people including a Shark Dive experience in support of the Shark Trust. Prize includes: Entrance into the Bear Grylls Adventure for two people including unlimited access to our Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course and 120 minute Shark Dive experience for two people in support of the Shark Trust to include: Training and expert tuition throughout the dive, up to 25 minutes in the oceanarium with the sharks and all dive and safety equipment provided, including wetsuits. Participants must be 10+ years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. There are no height or weight restrictions for this experience. Participants are required to provide their own towels and bring a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuits. A medical declaration form is required for Dive. To avoid disappointment on the day, you must review this before your visit. If you mark “YES” to any of the questions in the medical declaration form, you will need to contact your doctor who will review the medical form and ensure you have the correct sign off before arrival. Should the winner be unable to participate in the dive for medical reasons then an alternative experience such as snorkelling will be offered, subject to availability at the time of booking. All guests participating in an activity need to complete our general attraction waiver. Please note that you will complete this form on site on arrival, so there is no need to print and complete ahead of time. Due to the nature of our activities, pregnant guests are not permitted to take part in any of our experiences at The Bear Grylls Adventure. Prize does not include drinks, meals, accommodation or transportation unless otherwise stated. Visit date and time subject to availability. Prize may be claimed on any day the attraction is open, subject to availability. For the avoidance of doubt, travel is not included and will be at the winner’s own expense.
All Prizes can only be used as stipulated, are not transferable to another individual and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in any other way. Exact prize is as detailed above and none of the prizes include meals or travel. Any other non-specified expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guests. Winner cannot select prize of choice. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or ticket. Prize must be taken as a complete package. Any breach of these terms will result in disqualification and the promoter reserves the right to cancel the prize.
One guest per prize stay must be 18 years or over. Winner is responsible for adhering to all applicable attraction entry terms and conditions including size, height, weight and age restrictions and medical warnings that apply to certain rides and attractions. For more information please see:

Winners will be contacted by the attraction via the email address given for their entry within 14 days of confirming acceptance of their prize to organise trip details.
No cash or other alternative prize will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value.
Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, invalid, misdirected or late will not be valid and deemed void. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
All entries must be made directly by the person entering the prize draw. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
Entries (bulk or otherwise) from agents, third parties, organised groups or any entries automatically generated by computer will not be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to user error, any network, computer, and hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
The winners and their companions are responsible for any expenses which may be incurred including but not limited to; travel, sustenance, souvenirs and gifts.
The attraction entry tickets can only be used by the prize winner and as stipulated. The tickets are non-transferable and not for resale. Any purported or attempted transfer or sale of or other misuse of the tickets will render them automatically void.
If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries/claims. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
The winner and their companions agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will cooperate with any other reasonable requests by Merlin Entertainments relating to any post-winning publicity.
Merlin Entertainments’ decision is final in relation to promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event of a discrepancy between these standard Terms and Conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other Terms and Conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of the promotional material (and any other Terms and Conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry) shall prevail.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and proof of ID and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
A list of winners will be available on request, by email to Promotions@Merlinentertainments.biz unless otherwise stated, after the close of the draw and for a period of 3 months. Only the surname and county of the winners will be disclosed. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting Promotions@Merlinentertainments.biz. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. We reserve the right to refuse any or all such requests.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose unless we have your consent. These terms and conditions and any related disputes are subject to interpretation under the laws of England and Wales, and to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless your residential address is in Scotland, when Scottish law applies or in the Republic of Ireland, when Irish law applies.
